Andover Public Schools has chosen the location for its new career center.
The facility will be built on the southeast corner of 13th and 159th streets, on land that also will be the site of the new Meadowlark Elementary School.
“This location gives us the opportunity to build a state-of-the-art facility that can be easily accessed by our students,” says Brian Gregoire, director of Andover CAPS. “It also gives us room to expand in the future, if we have that opportunity.”
The building, which will house programs of Andover CAPS, is scheduled for groundbreaking in summer 2019 with move-in before the 2020-2021 school year. The center is part of a $188 million bond issue approved by Andover voters in May 2017.
